Storm hails team spirit for inglis re signing

AHL, DAL, S.H.I.E.L.D., SHIELD, TOR

All in all, I was kind of surprised (pun intended), since all these teams are not currently in action, but this might just be another reason why fans are going wild over this deal. I’m definitely interested in watching what these four teams have in store for me in terms of games and rosters for 2013. And don’t think I’m the only one who missed this! The fans might need it more in the months to come; it’s hard to believe that just a few days ago, the NBA was all talk and we’re actually starting to see these teams do some things, after the offseason acquisitions. But, if the NBA is as big a draw of this weekend and there is a little excitement around this league, then we might see the first official game between the league’s top teams. The last time these teams played, the Heat played the Pacers, while the Hornets were the Pelicans. It has to be fun to watch these guys fight for championships, even if it’s just two games. We’ll keep you posted if we do see the first official games this year, as I’d like to see a lot more activity between these teams for the next season in 2013.

Police appeal for palm is funeral calm

It was not immediately clear what prompted the attack.

Sinai’s capital city had been in lockdown as officials closed public buildings, closed down highways and urged residents to remain indoors.

Some schools were open and other schools were on holiday.

Some of the injured were reportedly students from an elite university, some as young as 15. The university in question is linked to President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi.

Egypt’s health minister later said it would be too soon to determine whether the attack had been a hate crime.

“We believe that the attack was an individual act motivated by discrimination – a hate crime in that the deceased was a foreigner,” Dr Mohammad Taha told CNN. “There is no reason to discount or ignore this as such.”

At least eight people were killed and dozens were injured when a suspected bomb went off outside a hotel where the Muslim Brotherhood was holding its annual conference, the Egyptian Red Crescent said.

On the southern edge of the city, witnesses said gunfire tore through the area.

“The whole area was quiet, not even a single gunshot, and no one was injured,” said Hossam El-Raghi, who has lived on Sesame Street with his family for two decades. “Everyone was trying to avoid the street. You can’t imagine a bigger catastrophe.”

‘Crowd is being targeted’

Witnesses said at least five people had been killed and more than 60 people were injured.

Sinai is traditionally one of the largest cities in the country, so it was unusual for attacks to target foreigners who might normally be in attendance, our correspondent says.

The airport, about 200km (125 miles) to the north, is popular with foreigners, including many from the Middle East and North Africa, but is heavily guarded with barbed wire and guards dressed in full military-style uniform.

Sinai and other southern cities have seen a rise in violence over the past few years, especially in the wake of the 2011 uprising that toppled autocrat Hosni Mubarak.

Since the uprising, some security forces have detained thousands of protesters and dozens have been killed by security forces.

On 1 December, an explosion at a petrol station in Cairo killed at least seven people.

Police have also been accused of stoking tensions, with some residents suggesting that security forces had opened fire on the protesters at the Rabaa al-Adawiya mosque as they were throwing stones.

The violence in Cairo coincided with the start of a wee
